1. Why is Results for Life different from other slimming plans?
Results for Life is different because as well has helping you to lose weight and get more active, we will also be helping you to understand what changes you need to make to your current lifestyle. You will have your own Lifestyle Folder and over the six weeks will build up a picture of the key changes that you need to make to successfully live an active and healthy lifestyle forever!
2. Is it just another diet?
No. We will teach you to take responsibility for your eating habits and understand the balance of what you should eat each day by cutting down on high fat and high sugar foods. However no food is banned - treats are important and help us to feel like we are not being deprived.
3. How many inches should I expect to lose?
If you follow the plan accurately you will definitely lose 6 inches, however most people lose much more than this. Our highest achiever so far lost 27 1/2 inches over the 6 weeks. Please note that inches will be lost from all over and not just your waist! The average loss is 11 inches.
4. How much weight should I expect to lose?
Weight loss varies considerably from person to person and depends on how strict you are at following the plan. We aim to achieve a healthy weight loss and lose just body fat and not lean tissue (muscle). You should expect to lose between 1/2 stone to 1 stone; however you could lose as much as 1 1/2 stone. Our highest loser lost 1 stone 8 1/2 lbs over the six weeks.
5. What does the food plan consist of?
You will be purchasing proper food which you can buy as usual from the supermarket and will eat a healthy, balanced diet. No food is banned on the plan, however when you find out the fat and sugar content of some of your favourite foods you will want to naturally start making some healthier choices! It's important to understand that you can have your favourite meals, cooked in a healthier way. We will be teaching you a simple way to cook using fewer calories.
6. Will I be able to integrate it with my family?
Yes, a healthy diet is important for everyone in the family and the earlier you start to build good habits with children the better. Husbands, wives or partners can also benefit from following the plan, even if they haven't got weight to lose. Slim people can be unhealthy if they don't eat a nutritious and balanced diet, so making family lifestyle changes is good news all around. A number of people who have come on the course report that their families automatically start making healthier choices when they see the changes they are starting to make. Especially, children, who start reaching for fruit rather than sweets and biscuits.
7. Will I still be able to go out and enjoy myself at weekends?
Yes - we want you to have fun while you are on the 6 week course and we understand that you will have social engagements, anniversaries, and parties etc to attend. You can't put your life on hold and you need to be able to loosen your belt from time to time - all work and no play makes Jack a dull boy!
8. Will I be able to eat out?
Yes - you will be given a handout showing the healthiest choices at the majority of restaurants, and this will be open for discussion too. However if it's your day off (see below) you can have anything you want
9. Will I be able to have a day off?
Yes, in fact we advise everyone to have at least one day off a week - however this will be your own personal choice. We believe that a little bit of what you like goes a long, long way!
10. Will my food intake be severely limited?
Definitely not - you should never be hungry on this plan - there's nothing worse than being starving hungry - it's a sure way to feel really miserable. Very low calorie diets are not only extremely difficult to stick to, but will slow down your metabolism. On the Results for Life plan you will have plenty of delicious food to eat.
11. Do I have to buy special food?
No - you can tailor the diet to suit your tastes and needs. We all like different foods so you will be able to make your own choices.
12. Will the food be expensive?
No - a recent survey showed that buying healthier food choices were actually less expensive than buying unhealthier ones.
13. Will the food be boring?
No - We will be checking that you are enjoying what you eat and having a varied diet. If the food is boring then you won't be able to make long term changes to your eating habits. We will also recommend recipe books with hundreds of new ideas for you, including starters, main courses and desserts.
14. How long do the weekly sessions last?
The weekly sessions last for one hour, apart from the first session which will be 1 1/2 hours.
15. How many sessions will there be?
During the six week course we will meet up for seven sessions.
16. Do I have to go to the gym?
No - not everyone likes going to the gym, however you may have optional gym membership as part of the 6 week course, so why not give it a try - you may love it!
17. Do I have to exercise?
Yes - if you want to live your life filled with more energy and become healthier, you have to be more active. It doesn't have to be formal exercise either - you can simply open your front door and go for a walk - this is great aerobic exercise. We will help you find out what exercise suits you best and also give you ideas of new things to try. The most important thing is that you find something that you enjoy.
18. If I can't make one of the sessions can I attend another class so that I don't miss a week?
Yes. We run several courses in the area all starting in the same week so if you are unable to come one of the classes then you will have a choice of other days/times that you can attend so that you don't miss out on a session.
19. How will it CHANGE MY LIFE FOREVER?
CHANGE YOUR LIFE FOREVER is the main heading on our literature. This is because this is what we are aiming to do. If you are able to make small but permanent changes to your life you will have changed your life forever and will be back in control and more energetic, happier and healthier. This course has been created by Louise Christie who after 'changing her life' and consequently feeling so much better and healthier, wanted to share this message with everyone. All of the Lifestyle Coaches that run courses have also 'Changed Their Lives Forever' - are you ready to change yours?
20. What happens after the 6 weeks is over? Is there any support?
We offer continued support after the course is over. You can either choose to join our Monthly Support Group or you can attend the follow-on Results for Life 6 Week Course. Both of these options will help keep you motivated and further increase your learning.
21. How much does the course cost?
The cost of the course is £99 and for this you will receive:
